THE GAME IS TOO SLOW
	
• Turn off unneeded system extensions when you boot up your computer.  You can turn off all extensions by holding down the shift key when starting your computer or by using the Extension Manager control panel.

- NOTE - You don't need QuickTime to play PM, but without it  you miss out on the movies.

• Set your monitor resolution to 640x480.

• Turn off Ram Doubler on an 68040 if you have enough free RAM.

In the Options, you can:

 	       • Turn on "Use frame skipping"
 
       • Turn on "Draw every other line"








       • Turn down the
           Sampling rate.

        • Turn off sound
            smoothing.

        • Set stereophony
            to Mono.
	


    

 - Note - Turning the sound or music completely off will give very little speed improvement.
			
SOUND PROBLEMS
	• If the music crackles, turn down the music volume.
	• On faster machines, turn on sound smoothing.
			
THE GAME CRASHES
	• Try freeing up more RAM for Project Magellan. 
     - Note -  Some 3rd party level mixes may require more RAM to run.

	• If it crashes on an 68040 with enough free RAM, try turning on RAMDoubler. RAMDoubler tends to cover up programming errors by initializing RAM to all zeros.
